Our 1st night (of 5) at the Tokyo Backpackers Hostel. We shared the room with girls from Holland, Germany, Indonsia, and Japan...yes, Patti and I were the most mature guests in the establishment.
When we first got off the train we were lost but found this little french bakery....it was a favorite starting point to our days, close to the train.

We had a wonderful guide our first day in Tokyo. Tamayo Miyata is a 'Tokyo Free Guide'. Mark and I enjoyed her so much a couple years ago we requested her again and were so very pleased that she accepted.
The information is so much more real when explained by a knowledgeable local.
Patti has always enjoyed looking at cemetaries and this was a different variety.
I'm not sure if the ravens were really much larger in Japan, or if there are so many and they let us get closer. They seemed huge.
