It was difficult to stop shooting. But, with these photos being about as far from the trail as you can be on the El Toro shore, it took me longer to get back to the trail than usual. No moon available until about 5:30 AM, so once the sun was down, it was significantly dark. For those of you who allow me the honor of guiding you on these trails, this may make you pause -- but I actually got off the trail twice (quite by accident). I also had 2 flashlights conk out on me (I was carrying 4 with me, thank goodness). It's only about 500 feet or so once you get to the trail to get you back to the road, but tonight I was was even happier than usual to see my vehicle!
