A few years prior to me moving here, this was a jumping and happening place. La Fiesta Mall was on it's way out when I moved here (probably less than 30% occupied at the time). It closed down shortly thereafter. Plans for it have included everything from establishing a college here to making it into an "Adult" entertainment complex (you can imagine the reception of THAT idea by the residents around here). But basically it has just been neglected and allowed to run down. Now it would likely be totally cost-prohibitive to do anything with it.
