FULL MOON OVER PUNTAN LAGGUA (Parrotfish Point) I
The extreme northeast shore of Saipan is rugged and remote. It is one of the most spectacular places to relax and welcome the rising full moon.
Nature here is always in motion: The breeze is nearly always relatively cool and refreshing, blowing a soft salt spray over the shore. Waves continuously crash against the old limestone to then explode into tall spires and fountains, which sometimes appear to be reaching up to grasp the moon.
This is a place which can remind us of our insignificance, while at the same time creating an endless show somehow seemingly tuned to fill us with a sense of awe.
While any one of these photos (this one and the next 3) can work alone to enhance the ambiance of your home, imagine how they can work together to set a theme or to harmonize disparate walls or rooms.
Allow each glimpse of one of these photos to be a meditation on the role of our consciousness in the workings of the Cosmos: Are we truly insignificant, or would it be the universe which would be insignificant if there were no consciousness to behold its dance?
