SIMULATED LATTE HUT
The ancient Chamorro used to erect a long, rectangular stone (anywhere from a few feet to 15 or so feet long), upon which they placed a larger-diameter round stone (anywhere from about a foot across to maybe 6 feet across for the larger buildings). They would make 2 rows of these and then build their huts upon these pillars (called latte stones, and pronounced just like the modern coffee drink). These replicas use concrete pillars in the shape of latte stones (sort of ). Otherwise, this depiction is probably reasonably accurate (to "a first approximation," anyhow).
