From Saipan, Above Water

  • Banzai wave.  This photo proportioned for multiple of 4 x 5 without cropping (8 x 10, 16 x 20, etc.).
  • Saipan fisherman trying for dinner with water splashing all around him....truly the Saipan style!

Pretty much just after I got enough exposures to be able to put this one together, it started raining full force.  As you could see from the previous shots, closing up is not an instantaneous thing:  It takes time to put up the camera, fold up the tripod, roll  up the rope, etc.  I was quite wet by the time I got back into the "protection" of the forest.  It kept raining for quite a while, so it was indeed time to leave.  But I do think I got a decent shot.  What do you think (feel free to comment below -- or on Facebook)?
