  • Nathan checks out the fuel prior to startin' 'er up.
  • Intersection north of airport.
  • Looking back at Saipan World resort, 360 Restaurant, and Lake Susupe. Notice the reflection from the windows of Saipan Grand (the bright "stuff" in the water near the shore).
  • Untitled photo
  • I live about a block south (to your right) of the right-hand edge of this photo, just across the road from the Lagoon.
  • Telephoto shot of same area as in the previous photo. Notice the glorious flame trees sprinkled throughout the island.
  • Hafa Adai resort (the one near the center with the three "towers," the center one appearing to lean {It does not actually lean, but the seaward end is built at an angle. That, plus the shadows, creates a bit of an optical illusion here}), Fiesta resort (further to your left), and (nearly out of the photo to your left) Hyatt Regency.
  • One of the readiness ships anchored just outside our Lagoon. Built by the U.S. Government and then leased to a private company which then contracts with the U.S. Defense Department, these ships are packed with military equipment, including some of the largest army tanks, etc. for rapid deployment should hostilities break out someplace in Asia.
  • Hyatt Regency (to your left), Fiesta Resort, and Hafa Adai resort (against the right-hand edge of the photo).
  • Readiness ships at anchor.
  • Hafa Adai Resort.
  • Managaha Island, one of our most popular tourists destinations. That stretch of sand to your left consistently places in the top 3 beaches in the world in a yearly survey among Japanese people by Google Japan (often at number 1).
  • Managaha in the foreground. Saipan in the background. The highest point on Saipan (Mount Tapachau) is visible here. Also, you can see one of the sunset cruise boats to your right (with the sail). Waves break on the Lagoon reef at the bottom of the photo.

  • Well, SOMEBODY's gotta live in tropical Paradise places like this, right?
  • The white sand and clear, shallow water combine to give some pretty gorgeous results.
  • Hyatt Regency is on the point sticking west (to your right) from Saipan. Managaha is just off the photo to your right.
  • The red ship in the foreground is, I believe, a cargo ship which carries shipments inter-island.
  • Untitled photo
  • Used to be a major resort here owned by Japan Air Lines. However, they pulled totally out of Saipan. It was purchased by a local investment group and went under the name "The Palm" for a while, but they were not able to make a go of it. Now it is all empty, although they do seem to be maintaining it. Looking for an investment? You may be able to get a good deal here!
