  • The easiest part of the hike.
  • Now down into the sink hole.
  • And Kate slides into Cave One!
  • Just inside Cave One is this large chamber. Hover your cursor over the photo, then click on "Original" in the pop-out menu. That will bring up a full size photo. You may have to use the scroll bars on the bottom and right of your screen (if you click in the center, it'll return to this SmugMug format) so you can see Kate's eyes. One wild-eyed lady there, Kate! (Probably looking back to make sure I hadn't fallen or something)
  • Beyond the large entry chamber it then starts to descend.
  • Are you SURE I can make it through there? Thanks for taking my pack and camera so that I could indeed make it!
  • Headlamps ON.
  • Headlamps OFF. I had to pretty much guess where everyone was to take the shot!
  • Looking through old bottles, some of which are likely from WWII time. Hey, is THAT a 1939 Tokutei meishō-shu?
  • Squeezing through on our way back to the entrance chamber.
  • Back to fresh air! Then down into Cave Two. I sat this one out. Felt like continuing to breathe the nice outdoor air for a while.
  • Return from the underworld of Cave Two!
