NOVEMBER 9, 2013: EL TORO SPLASH AND SUNSET

Yet another sunset at El Toro. I must kinda like the place, I guess.

I was wanting to set up at the place I saw and was too scared to set up at last time. Tide was going down this evening, so I thought it would be safe. However, once I got there I saw that the seas were rollicking much more than what they were last time. All during the evening I watched the little perch, and there never was a dangerous splash, but there were drenching splashes (In addition to being frightened out of my wits, I would have gotten very wet down there). So, I was happy to set up a bit further inland and concentrate on the spray from the spouting horn, instead of the nice shelf photos I think I could get from the originally-planned perch.

  • The water just looks so happy suspended in air like this.
  • Now, who can look at those 2 adorable critters facing each other in the upper right and not say that this place should DEFINITELY be called VALLEY OF THE DRAGONS?
  • T'was a nice sunset.
  • Time to head for home, before the dragons see me!
