With a tropical storm about 300 miles from us, we are getting waves which make the Spotlight Cave Skylight quite active.

For those of you not familiar with this place, there is a large underwater cavern opening to the open ocean. This is a favored dive site (under much calmer conditions). For those who happen to be lucky enough to dive this cave near mid day when it is calm and sunny, this skylight opening allows the sun to form a dancing, mesmerizing beam of light from the top to the bottom of the cave. For hikers, this hole allows for a similarly mesmerizing experience in just watching the water level rise, fall, and swirl. When waves are big, the show can be quite impressive.
