Tide was quite low, which allowed us to safely enjoy some areas not always so accessible.

  • A little color starting to show as Caroline captures one of the first shots of the morning.
  • Waves and sunrise. How can you beat that?
  • Now let's head down to the beach!
  • Tide was quite low, which allowed us to safely enjoy some areas not always so accessible.
  • One DISadvantage of the tide being so low, however, is that the waves did not do some of the things which they usually do. This nice little "Wedding Cake" formation usually has great waves breaking over it from the back side, which can give very dramatic effects on photos. This morning, however, that was not happening.
  • Even without the waves breaking behind, however, this is still a spectacular place, and a nice backdrop for a photo.
  • Or two photos.<br /> <br /> Notice the spouting horn (blow hole) to Victoria's right (to your left as the viewer of the photo) in the background.
  • Victoria rests a bit inside the "Second Hidden Beach Cave." To her right, and down in the shadows, is an underwater opening to the open ocean --which allows churning wave action and totally cool, rhythmic sounds to reverberate through the cave.

  • After leaving Hidden Beach, we made a stop at Jeffry's Beach prior to heading back to Garapan.<br /> <br /> Thank-you, Amy, Caroline, and Victoria, for allowing me to tag along and letting me be a part of your morning.
