DECEMBER 4, 2017: PUNTAN LAGGUA: Makeup, Mermaid, and More

The waves were a bit bigger than usual (although I've seen them considerably larger yet). Significant breeze blowing heavy mist from the waves over us. Because of this, I was very hesitant to have my Canon out much. But I did (very protectively) take some shots with it. I mean, how often do you get a chance to photograph a mermaid?!

  • It was getting pretty doggone dark by the time we started taking mermaid photos. That, plus the fact that I was getting my camera out for only a second or so at a time and did not want to place a flash on my camera in this mist limited the photo quality of a most gorgeous subject.

  • There were other mermaids through the evening, and even one merman (NOT me! Leon!). I was concerned enough about my camera that for the rest of the night I just held a couple of flashlights on the mer-people in the hope that others could get some memorable photos.
