ARTILLERY DUMP

Even with my drone down close, the shells are hard to see unless you have a big screen. If you look closely at the rust-colored things to your upper right, you may see that they are little "bomb-shaped" things with fins on the back end. I would guestimate that they may each be about 1 foot long. There are also a couple, although partially buried, to your left, and there may be one more lower right. I have been told that these may have been target practice shells, but I have no idea whether that is correct or not. Apparently there used to be a road which terminated at this cliff. Trucks would back up here and dump their load over the cliff. Most of the discarded stuff likely splashed into the water (so this may be an interesting place to dive, if anyone is interested), but some of it hung up on the rock and has been there ever since. The road is long gone.
