SEPTEMBER 3, 2018: TAPACHAU
Sunset from Tapachau is nearly always impressive, both for the view and the number of mosquitoes which seem to suddenly become active just as the sun sets and then, just as suddenly, vanish about an hour later (probably because they have gotten their fill of my blood). Monday night was an exceptionally excellent sunset as far as the view (the mosquitoes were there as always, however).

DRONE-GENERATED 360-DEGREE PANORAMA
Even though it does not appear that way in the photo, I believe that Jesus stands on the highest point on Saipan (1,560 feet). The middle of the photo is just about due west, and each end of the panorama is just about due east. Naftan and the airport are on the little point to your left. Banzai and Suicide Cliff are on the point to your right (which are fairly close to south and north, respectively). My abode and work place is just a bit left-of-center along the shore of the lagoon in the distance (probably just about straight "up" from where I am standing in the photo).
As you can see, our fair island is small enough that you can see water all the way around.
