I was not of proper understanding as to the different types of "no fly zones" for drones. I had called the Control Tower and obtained permission to fly here, which would have been sufficient in a "yellow" no-fly zone, but the immediate area around controlled airports and prisons are "red" no-fly zones. Once the drone gets a GPS signal it decides it ain't gonna fly. There is no quick way to override it (Apparently there is a way online, which takes a few days -- and then you've got to do some fairly complex overrides on the drone in the field). So, here you see ignorant me placing my drone and trying to get it to take off, then trying to see if there is any override. Oh well. Perhaps I'll go through the proper channels at a later time, now that I have some idea how the system works.
