One last 3 minutes of Garapan fireworks.

• Well, I think you could say that our "Chinese New Years Eve" was the start of a totally magical time. First, due to over-booking at the Hyatt, Mom and Dad got an upgrade from a regular room (about $130 per night) to an end room with wrap around deck in the Executive Wing (value, $1,030 per night) at no additional charge. This is what a $1,030 per night room looks like (or at least a part of the room: It continues on around the corner).
• The Executive Wing has its own little pool, available only to those staying in that wing. For those of you slightly familiar with the Saipan Hyatt, the Executive Wing pool overflows to form the waterfall into the regular pool.

• Professional model at the Executive Wing Pool.
• A nice buffet "continental" breakfast is included -- poolside, if you like.

• Look at that wrap-around deck!
• As you can tell, we got a totally appropriate meal to enjoy in a $1,000+ room!
• Then, due to the generosity of the two fellows you see here, it was off to the Sand Castle for a Las Vegas style illusionist show! Chris Zubrick (to your left) and Ryan Makowski are Saipan's illustrious illusionists. Their show is (in my opinion) totally excellent. Anyone on Saipan who has not seen it, I highly recommend it. Anyone planning on visiting our little rock, make plans in advance, before your time here.......vanishes!

See, the time just became more and more magic!

By the way, no photos are allowed during the show. However, click on the following link, and you will be transported (like magic!) to a website with much more interesting information:
• Hyatt Regency, on our way to downtown Garapan for the Chinese New Years fireworks.
• Eureka! I found BOTH Nemo AND Dory!
• 2 minutes, 37 seconds of fireworks on the Paseo de Marianas. In the first scene is one of the interesting things which makes these celebrations different from fireworks displays I have seen elsewhere: Thousands of firecrackers set off on the concrete.
• Fireworks over the Paseo de Marianas.
• Two minutes and 58 seconds of fireworks.
• Dad takes aim for his shot.
