MARCH 13, 2011: HIDDEN BEACH (CROCODILE)

As with many places here, this little pocket beach seems to be called various things by different folks. There is a natural rock formation which extends a "snout" out over the water, so some call it "Crocodile Beach." I have heard some call it Jeffries, too. My current thinking is that the most common name for it is probably "Hidden Beach," although that seems to be used for another nearby one, also.<br />

  • I know that the videos can take a while to load and buffer (depending on your internet speed), but the motions and sounds here are a large part of the awesome spectacle.

  • One of my favorite signs on island. I've never seen even one vehicle on this path, let along another one trying to PASS it!

Mark, maybe a good project would be to make beach name plates for those smaller beaches and install them while a beach cleanup.
