Of course, this is a DIFFERENT hole. One with a nice tidal pool and no connection to Spotlight Cave. It gave a great place for wave watching, however.

• Starting down the trail.
• Some of the terrain is a bit like I might expect on the Moon. Here, Judy stands in a crater.
• Spotlight Cave has a huge, totally submerged opening to the Pacific Ocean. The cavern narrows from front to back. About half way back is this skylight hole, which (around noon) allows a beam of light to penetrate down through the cave. For photos from inside the cave, see the following link: http://www.optimimagery.com/THE-UNIVERSE-BENEATH/FUN-DIVES-AND-DIVE-BUDDIES/Banzai-and-Spotlight-Cave/8379517_rJuWW
• When the ocean surface is wavy, surges pass into and out of the cave, causing the water surface here to rise and fall. In extreme conditions, the surface will literally explode out of the opening at times. The ocean was moderately wavy on this day, giving us an active but safe show.
• To watch the video, click on the triangle. If your net is not extremely fast, wait until the video starts to play and then click on the pause button (which will appear at the lower left corner of the video window). Allow it to buffer for a while, then click the play button to watch the water dance.

• In case you were wondering what Bev and Judy were pointing at at the end of the last video, it was a wave which filled the area from which this water is draining.
