FORMAL NIGHT

For 2 evenings on board, formal wear is required to dine in the Rotterdam (the main dining restaurant). For the second of the formal evenings, all stops are pulled as far as the fare.

  • The folks of the wait staff work extremely hard, and still find time to laugh with dining passengers.
  • Here, he helps dislodge the succulent lobster meat from the tail shell.  What you can't see because it is behind the lobster is a savory steak done to perfection.  Also, keep in mind that this course comes AFTER delectable appetizers and delicious salad dishes -- and before your choice of elegant desserts.  Not to mention your choice of different artisan-style rolls and other breads during most of the meal.
  • KETCHIKAN
  • Several fun shops in town.  Because this is the last cruise stop prior to returning to Vancouver, this is where passengers buy a lot of the stuff for loved ones to whom they want to give something from Alaska.
