Let's see: How do I describe Meow Wolf? I would say it's a very low tech, heavily recycled (lots of use of "junk," but I don't mean that in a derogatory sense -- Indeed, looks to me like one of the best ways to repurpose something which has become worthless into something which adds very positively to peoples' lives), indoor "alternative reality" playground. It's in a building which used to house a large bowling alley. Several different artists and craftsmen designed and built more than 70 eclectic rooms, each with a different theme. It's enough to keep a family entertained for quite some time!
