THE INNCHANTER AND REFUGE COVE VILLAGE UNDER A CLEAR NIGHT SKY -- BIG DIPPER AND NORTH STAR

I so much wanted to get a star trails photo, and with the InnChanter positioned just about directly beneath the North Star, it would have been perfect. However, my timer chose that night to not function properly, so I had to make due with this shot. While I was disappointed to not get the star trails shot I had in mind, I'm reasonably happy about how this turned out -- and I feel so thankful to have been able to experience a place at which I could have such disappointment: It just means I was at a spectacular and extremely enjoyable location.

Perhaps I will be back up there some time. Or maybe someone else will see this shot and have a great idea for a nice star-trails shot. If so, I would love to see it!
