NEW MEXICO VI: SANTA FE: MEOW WOLF
Get a local assortment of disparate disillusioned local artists to invest in an empty warehouse with the promise that they can create whatever they want inside. Allow their natural anarchist and anti-commercialist passions to ferment for a few years while they experiment with various types of enthusiastic and unfettered self expression. Add to the mix a visionary (or two) who sees that the group could reach an appreciative audience with a win-win scenario once the members have satisfied their anarchist / anticocorporate desires and are ready to organize and possibly get paid for their creativity. Allow a few more years, tears, discussions, arguments, and other intense interactions until the group is whittled down to a core of folks ready to choose a leader and take it to the next level as a business. Find a benefactor and get him on board for a sizable donation ($2.7 million from R. R. Martin of GAME OF THRONES fame helps). Then add the closing of a local bowling alley, which happened to make available (at just the perfect time) a huge and empty space at a reasonable price. Allow all the above to impossibly self-create and you might just end up with MEOW WOLF! https://meowwolf.com/

We were pretty mindless here, and just enjoyed the fact that some of the lights change color or turn on and off when you tap them. However, if you tap them just right, then the colors will form a pattern along this wall which reveals a combination for a nearby lock. On opening the lock on this day, one could find one of the hamsters (a stuffed toy, if I remember correctly) of the "treasure hunt."
