MOUNT THIELSEN

Often called "Matterhorn of the Cascades" (due to the classic glacial horn at the top) and "Lightening Rod of the Cascades" (due to the fact that the above-mentioned horn attracts lots of lightening).

The top 10 feet of the mountain is peppered with fulgurites: glass inclusions formed when lightening quickly melts rock. (I have not been up there to see for myself, but I'll take the word of those who have)
