BEV AT McMENAMIN'S KENNEDY SCHOOL

McMenamin's is kind of a tradition for us any more. When I was in optometry school, they had a pub and a road house / brew pub near Hillsboro. We used to enjoy them occasionally. Now they have several unique restaurants / brew pubs / distillery pubs / motels / hotels throughout the greater Portland area. Kennedy School is an old elementary school. It now includes a 57-room hotel, large restaurant, several bars, a theater, and a gym. I greatly respect their obvious passion at preserving history rather than demolishing and starting new. All of the McMenamin's I have tried are enjoyable places which keep me wanting to return.
