MA JOI AND RIO PICK WILD ROSE HIPS

Unfortunately, many people who grow roses at home use systemic insecticides, which means that the insecticides absorb into the plant and render the hips to be toxic.
I also find that the wild roses vary incredibly in taste and texture, from quite pleasant to totally bland, and from a plum-like consistency to a mummified leather. Then, there is always the seeds, which make up the majority of what's inside. I've never heard that they would be harmful, but I generally spit them out. Maybe I'm discarding the most nutritious part? If you know anything about this, please comment in the box below.
