Jim and Delores listen to an excellent Pan flute player at the Arts and Crafts show at Eagle Nest, NM.

Sorry about the clicking noises. My external microphone was giving me lots of problems. 40 seconds.

• Untitled photo
• Viva New Mexico wines!
• Viva dead trees!
• This is in Taos. It's the compound in which Stepha is boarding now.
• You can see the vicious guard dog in the foreground, and Zac and Stepha are safe up on the balcony.
• Now we are inside sort of a dorm / dining area / commons.
• Zac shows us the second floor. I'm not sure I would trust myself up here, since I often awaken pretty disoriented in the middle of the night. One false step and.....
• There are, I think, 4 floors in this building. This is floor # 3. There is a small bed area one more level up, but that's another story......
• Stepha, back down on the ground level. You can see that energetic guard dog on the lawn.
• Standing on the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge. This site rates 4.5 (out of 5) stars on Trip Advisor among must-see tourist sites.
• Here you are looking at an 18-photo panorama (taken from my feet upward until I was photographing the sky). If you want to see lots of detail, hover your cursor over the photo, then click on "original" on the pop-up menu. This will bring up a full size rendering. Use the scroll bars to your right and bottom of your screen to navigate. Click on the photo to return to this SmugMug format.
• At 650 feet above the Rio Grande, this is the fifth highest bridge in the United States.
• Considering how far it is from California, this bridge has "stared" in a surprising number of Hollywood films:

Including NATURAL BORN KILLERS ( I did not see this movie, and likely never will, but the cinematography does a great job of capturing the depth of this place in the following video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Rn8KORS1_0&feature=related ), TWINS, SHE'S HAVING MY BABY, WILD HOGS, and TERMINATOR SALVATION.
• This is a side to side 16-panel, 180-degree panorama. You can enlarge it as mentioned in the previous one (Photo 12). At the extreme left of the photo you are looking west, and at the extreme right you are looking east. Of course, I'm also standing on that same bridge, which is straight in real life. Such is the magic of modern panoramic photography.
• Next, we visited the Earth Ships site, an advanced demonstration site for self-sustained, environmentally-responsible housing.
• Stepha shows us the entry into the Earth Ship office and display building.
• Each Earth Ship is designed to produce food, power, comfort, and aesthetics in addition to taking care of its own waste.
• Use of items which would normally be discarded is common. For instance, you can see a wall here made with old tires and bottles, held together with what is basically an adobe-type of mortar. This wall is unfinished so that visitors can learn about the construction techniques.
• Company pickup, I guess.
