  • Washington Pass is one of my favorite "leg-stretching" places.
  • About half way between Chelan and Bellingham, it makes for a great place to stop and get out of the car for a bit.
  • Liberty Bell Mountain, first ascended in 1946. I think I'll admire it from down here at the top of Washington Pass.

  • 7-photo panorama looking down the 389-foot face of Diablo Dam. When it was completed in 1930, this was the tallest dam in the world.
  • Fun on Diablo. Sorry about the wind noise. And I guess I didn't quite get the impacts, but the ripples are pretty cool.
