• Bev at Royal Hawaiian Center, Waikiki.
• Koko Head, east of Honolulu.
• Halona Point, looking south. Koko Head (from the previous photo) would be just a bit further to your right. Notice the ice chest in the little depression and the fishermen near the flats. There is a blow hole here, too, but it didn't spout while we were there.
• Halona Point, looking northeast.
• I'm not sure the name of this Oahu beach, but it's along the northeast shore, fairly far north, along the Kamehameha Highway.
• Untitled photo
• Short video from the same beach seen in the previous two photos.
• Still the same beach, toward the southeastern end of the beach area. Cast net fisherman standing near the right side of the photo.
• Heleiwa. This is the area often called the "Banzai Pipeline" because of the waves breaking in curls perfect for surfing.
• Video of Banzai Pipeline area.
• 17-photo panorama of Nu'uanu Pali. There are some imperfections in the panorama panel matchups, but consider that this is about a 180-degree panorama. The metal railing you see in the foreground is, if I remember correctly, straight. So, the computer has to figure out what to do with lots of varying distortions as it puts these panoramas together.

At any rate, you are (at the center of the photo) looking northeast, over the Nu'uanu Valley, toward Kane'ohe town and bay.
• Bev at Nu'uanu Pali.
• Some golden lichen along the old Nu-uanu Pali highway, which is now a nice little path for a stroll.
• On getting back to the car, when I saw this crumpled leaf on the car top, I could not help but take a snap.
• Alright: Time to head for Maui. The road from the airport to Waikiki passes right by the cruise ship dock, so we were able to admire the cruise ships each time we drove by this terminal. The airport is (out of the photo) to your left. Waikiki starts at about the extreme right border of the photo (or maybe a bit beyond that).
• To your left the little squar-ish bay is Ala Moana Beach Park, a beautiful, man-made park created on sand dredged in the 1950's. The long beach to your right from that (near the center 1/3 of the photo) is Waikiki. This place hosted Robert Louis Stevenson in 1893, and then us in 2013 (coincidence?). Further to your right you can see Diamond Head. In the background is Koko Head.
Next stop, Maui!

...love the 'darkness' with the lights on and reflections in the 'quiet-pond'...
(amazing to realize this was 'just-before' the grand event happening in Bellingham.
How fun Life can be... :-)
