Here is a close-up of the bubbling part. The black lines are likely from iron or some other heavy metal in the soil, which tends to run to the low portion as the percolating water creates little sand mounds. It's a kaleidoscope of white/black/pink sand constantly changing before your eyes. Pretty cool, actually.
