  • I'm sure it's some type of pathology causing it, but I thought that these multicolored leaves were pretty.
  • Zac picks berries along the trail. In fact, we were able to feast on mountain blueberries, huckleberries, thimbleberries, and other nice berries. (Zac: What were some of the others?)

  • Refreshing swim, I'm sure. We are not all that high, so the water has had some time to warm slightly, but it IS a glacier-fed river, and the glaciers are not THAT far away.

  • I'm not sure what kind of "berries" these are. I'm pretty sure that they are not edible. Zac, you had a suggestion for what they were, but I forgot. What think you? Anyone else? (Please feel free to leave comments)

    ...yeah, ya need that warning when folks come along for a hike with us Mark!;-) Maybe we all can wear t-shirts on our next hike with Zac, with that 'warning' on both front AND back!l0l!
