• One of our all time favorite restaurants is The Greek Oven in Castlegar, B.C. We find a way to go there pretty much any time we are traveling to within about 500 miles of it.

http://thewanderinggreekoven.com/
 • Yummy! You can see the Greek Oven's menu and phone number at http://canada.foodle.net/BC/castlegar/thegreekoven.php
 • We decided to stop for the night in Kaslo, B.C. However, we noticed lots of NO VACANCY signs as we were driving through. On inquiring at the local Inn, we were told that we would likely not find a place that night. However, before I turned to leave the Inn, the friendly fellow said he would make a phone call to a place which may have a room. He found that the Garden Valley Place did indeed have vacancy.

Surprisingly (since rooms were obviously in high demand that night), this bed and breakfast (actually no breakfast) had no guests that night (out of 3 available rooms). It was very nice, quiet, clean, and reasonable in price (less than a room at the Inn would have been). If you happen to be headed to Kaslo, I would highly recommend that you call Garden Valley Place (250-353-2104 or cell at 250-354-8550) for a place to stay.
 • If there are other guests, you will share this common area and the restroom / shower. However, the rest of your area will be quite private.
 • As you can see, she takes the term flower BED seriously!
